Exciting news! The world’s highest motorable road, Umlingla Pass, is now open for a thrilling bike trip. This journey is no easy feat, so be prepared physically and mentally. Note that there’s no cellular service except for BSNL Postpaid in Hanle. Departing from Hanle, you’ll encounter the Hanle Bridge and the Kalatartar plain, a barren straight road where you might spot Tibetan Gazelles.

The Umlingla bike trip features the picturesque Kala Tartar plains and a blacktop road. Riding towards Nerbo-la Pass (5282 m), take a break to enjoy the stunning view. Keep an eye out for a signboard declaring you’re above Everest Base Camp—a heartwarming achievement. Continuing on, you’ll reach the world’s highest motorable road, Umlingla Pass (5798 m), surpassing Khardungla Pass.

Venture a bit further to reach Demjok, the last village on the Indo-China border. Remember, there are no restaurants or ATMs from Hanle to Umlingla. The distance from Hanle to the top is 75 km, taking around 5 hours via Nerbo-la Pass. Another route via Photi la Pass is 115 km, taking roughly 7 hours.

To embark on this adventure, reach Hanle through various routes:

Fly directly to Leh, then visit Hanle via Karu – Upshi – Chumathang – Nyoma – Hanle (260 km, 8 hrs).
Start from Manali – Jespa – Serchu – Tsomoriri – Hanle (490 km, 2 days).
After the Nubra and Pangong trip, go to Chuchul – Tsaga-la – Nyoma – Hanle.

Itinerary

Day 1 – ARRIVAL AT LEH

Arrive at Leh airport, greeted by our representative and transfer to our hotel.
Take it easy today to acclimate to the altitude.
In the evening, Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and explore Leh’s local bazaar.
Overnight stay at Leh

Day 2: LEH LOCAL SIGHT VISIT

Hall of Fame Museum – Pay tribute to our brave soldiers and learn about their valor.
Sangam Point – Witness the stunning confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
Magnetic Hill – Experience the gravity-defying phenomenon at this unique spot.
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara – Seek blessings at this serene and spiritual location.
Leh Market – Shop for traditional souvenirs and explore local crafts.

Day 3: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY

After Breakfast, ride your motorcycle on the flat Nubra Road Via Khardungla Pass
Enjoy scenic view along the way
Arrive in Hunder by noon for camel riding in sand dunes.
Experience cultural show in Hunder if time allows
Visit Dikshit Monastery if time allows
Relax and dine at Hunder Village camps.

Day 4: Nubra – Pangong Tso – Tranquility by the Azure Waters

Early breakfast before the ride to Pangong Tso.
Shayok Valley is a stunning landscape on your Ladakh bike tour
Enjoy the vast and barren beauty, a treat for photographers
Head towards Pangong Lake, catch the first glimpse from the roadside
Continue alongside the lake
Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Day 5: Pangong – Hanle

Begin your journey early in the morning to make the most of the day and to witness the beautiful sunrise over Pangong Lake
Drive from Pangong Lake towards Chushul, enjoying the mesmerising views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Explore Chushul village, interact with locals, and get a glimpse of the unique Ladakhi culture.
Cross Tsaga La Pass, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Changthang region.
Stop at Loma Bend for a break and take in the beauty of the rugged mountains and vast plains.

Day 7: Hanle To Leh – Chumathang Hot Spring

Enjoy a rejuvenating stop at Chumathang Hot Spring, allowing time for relaxation and a dip in the warm waters

T&C & Cancellation Policy

Booking Information:

To reserve a slot, pay 30% person when booking the trip
Balance payment due 15 days before the tour starts
Endeavour Ladakh is not responsible for roadblocks, flight cancellations, or unforeseen situations
For children aged 5-8 yrs, it’s 30% of the total cost (without bed)
Children above 8 yrs are considered adults (extra mattress provided)

Standard Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation

Cancellations made 30 days or more before the scheduled departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable fees (e.g., 20% booking fees).

Partial Refund

Cancellations made between 15-29 days before the departure date will incur a 25% cancellation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.

Limited Refund

Cancellations made between 7-14 days before the departure date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

No Refund

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the departure date, after the trip has started, or in the middle of the tour are non-refundable.

Special Circumstances

Force Majeure: In cases of unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), we reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify your plans.

No compensation will be provided for monetary or value loss.

In case of restricted access to high passes due to snowfall or floods, we may arrange bike transportation if deemed safe. This will incur additional costs borne by the guest.
Medical Emergencies: Documentation may be required to process refund or rescheduling requests in case of medical emergencies.

Refund Process

Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after receiving your cancellation request. Processing times may vary depending on the payment method used.
Amendments to Booking
Before 30 Days from Date of Travel: One-time amendment is complimentary.
Within 30 Days from Date of Travel:
Changes are subject to availability and will incur a rescheduling fee, including hotel and transporter charges, plus an administrative fee of INR 2000.
