Permission Need to Take to Go Mig La
Access to Mig LA Pass is highly restricted and subject to special permissions due to proximity to the LAC.
- Current Status: As of late 2025, the road is primarily for military use. General civilian access is pending formal opening and approval from the Ministry of Defence.
- Permit Requirement: You will require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian citizens (or Protected Area Permit for foreigners) for the entire Changthang region (Hanle, Fukche, etc.). For Mig La, this permit may require an additional special endorsement from the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Leh.
