THINGS TO CARRY

The Indian e-Visa

To enter India, most international citizens must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before departure. The process is

entirely digital, meaning no physical embassy visits are required.

  • Official Portal: Always use the government’s authorized website: indianvisaonline.gov.in.

  • Timing is Key: We strongly recommend submitting your application at least 3–4 weeks before your flight. While many visas are approved within 72 hours, applying early provides a vital buffer for any document or photo corrections.

  • Passport Requirements: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival and contain at least two blank pages for the immigration stamp.

Choosing Your e-Tourist Visa Category

India offers three flexible options for travelers, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your 2026 travel plans:

Visa TypeValidity & DurationBest For…
30-Day e-Tourist VisaValid for 30 days with Double Entry.Riders joining a single, focused Ladakh motorbike tour. (Note: This is non-extendable).
1-Year e-Tourist VisaValid for 365 days with Multiple Entries.Frequent travelers who plan to explore other parts of India or return for a second ride in the same year.
5-Year e-Tourist VisaValid for 5 years with Multiple Entries. The ultimate choice for long-term Himalayan enthusiasts. Maximum stay is 180 days per calendar year.

Essential Details for Your Application

When filling out your online form, you may be asked for a local reference in India. As your dedicated host, you are welcome to use the Endeavour Ladakh credentials:

  • Company Name: Endeavour Ladakh

  • Address: Changspa Road, Opposite Padma Ling Hotel, Tongspon Complex, Leh, Ladakh-194101

  • State/UT: U.T. Ladakh

  • Contact Number: +91 9622247763

  • Email: endeavourladakh@gmail.com

Pro-Tips for a Successful Application

  • The Photo Rule: The Indian Bureau of Immigration is strict about photo quality. Use a professional, front-facing digital photo with a plain white background. Selfies or cropped photos are the leading cause of visa delays.

  • Print Your Grant: Once your visa status shows as “GRANTED,” print a high-quality physical copy of your Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). You must present this to the airline before boarding and to the immigration officer upon arrival.

  • Check the “Window”: For 1-year and 5-year visas, you can apply up to 120 days in advance. For the 30-day visa, the window is smaller (typically 30 days before travel).

Essential Documents You Must Carry.

1. Original Passport & Indian Visa

ENDEAVOUR LADAKH MAKES YOUR TRIP HAPPIER

More than 1,00,000+ riders have trusted Endeavour Ladakh with their dream destination trip.

Ajanta Boro

We had a great experience renting out a bike for our 6 days of tour. What we wanted was a well maintained bike since we were travelling all by ourselves and we just got that and much more. For one of the off-roading routes, we were allowed to join their tour group so that we had the support if needed, just in case. All along, very friendly team and professional services. Recommend them %, if you are looking forward to a bike tour in Laddakh.

Shivkumar Jayaram

Recently we as a group had an opportunity to use their services on a bike trip in Ladakh. I really really applaud Dawa, Phunchok and their team in organising a flawless itinerary. They made sure all the group members were taken care of in terms of comfort and more importantly safety. They were so supportive and caring too. Really appreciate their services and am looking forward to another trip with them.

Bikash Doley

Well maintained fleet of bikes. Every evening post ride the bikes are checked and maintained. We experienced this when we were riding alongside a group tour which they were leading. Even though we were not a part of the group (but happened to be riding on the same route at the same time) even our bike was checked and maintained.

Mihisara Hettithanthri

I’ve booked a full tour from Endeavour Ladakh all the way from Melbourne Australia and they provided excellent service and great bikes for my trip. Highly recommended and best in Ladakh.
